Hidden survivors

When the zombie outbreak hit, Emily learned about biting incidents breaking out at Pinnacle Hospital while riding the subway in City B. Her neighbor warned that the city would be locked down the next day. She immediately took time off work, booked travel tickets, stockpiled supplies at inflated prices, and told her parents to stock up on all necessities and reinforce their house without delay. She narrowly caught the last airport shuttle flight to City Q and reunited with her parents. The family sealed their home to fortify defenses. Zombies appeared downstairs and began to mutate, even spawning an intelligent alpha leader. The whole family struggled to survive relying on their stockpiled goods and small home-grown crops. Later, armed looters broke into the residential complex and wreaked havoc. Emily braved great danger to retrieve her drone. Using her own blood, she scrawled an SOS signal, then piloted the drone to send out a distress call. The military eventually spotted her signal and rescued them. They were informed that all zombies in City Q had been eliminated, and the entire family headed for the official safe haven.
